Position:
Sales Engineer / Estimator

Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sales Engineer / Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the sales process by accurately assessing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and providing clients with comprehensive proposals for smart home installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general construction, smart home technologies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, the internal team and suppliers.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with sales representatives, project managers, and clients to understand project specifications and requirements.
Conduct site visits to assess existing infrastructure, evaluate technical considerations, and identify potential challenges or opportunities.
Analyze CAD Plans, floor plans, and other project documentation to determine the scope of work and materials needed for smart home installations.
Utilize estimation software and tools to calculate material costs, labor expenses, and project timelines accurately.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including itemized breakdowns of materials, labor, subcontractor fees, and overhead expenses.
Present estimates and proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns and providing recommendations for optimal smart home solutions.
Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project-related documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
Maintain CAD plans, update project files.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as an estimator in the construction, home automation, or smart home industry, with a strong understanding of technical requirements and best practices.
Familiarity with smart home technologies, including home automation systems, security systems, lighting controls, HVAC systems, and audiovisual solutions.
Proficiency in estimation software and tools, such as Autocad, Intellicad, Excel
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and project documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in estimating project costs and timelines.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to smart home installations are preferred.
