Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Smart Home Systems Technician & Installer to join our dynamic team at Avario. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of advanced smart home devices and systems. You will work collaboratively with senior engineers and other team members to ensure that installations meet the highest standards and align with our clients’ specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, planning, and execution of smart home installations, including optimizing wiring and wireless layouts to ensure maximum efficiency and performance.
• Install, commission, and configure a wide range of smart home devices, including but not limited to smart thermostats, lighting controls, security cameras, door locks, audio/video systems, networking hardware, Wi-Fi access points, and home automation hubs.
• Ensure proper wiring, connectivity, and seamless integration of all smart home devices and systems with existing home infrastructure.
• Dress home automation distribution boards (DBs) and IT racks, and perform accurate cable termination.
• Test, troubleshoot, and calibrate installed smart home systems to ensure optimal functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Provide comprehensive demonstrations and user training to clients, ensuring they are fully equipped to operate their smart home systems effectively.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in smart home technology, industry trends, and best practices to offer clients innovative and state-of-the-art solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, customer support, and technical teams to deliver exceptional service and exceed client expectations.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and service reports.
• Monitor project progress against scope, manage variations, and communicate any required changes promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in electronics, networking, or home automation are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in smart home device installation and configuration, with strong knowledge of technologies such as KNX, DALI, Zigbee, Z-Wave, and Wi-Fi.
• Strong technical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills, capable of diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset, able to anticipate challenges and identify effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients and colleagues; fluency in English is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality work with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
• Valid UAE driver’s license is required.
