Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Smart Home Engineer to join our dynamic team at Avario. In this hands-on role, you will be directly responsible for the estimation, installation, configuration, and maintenance of advanced smart home systems. Additionally, you will manage projects from start to finish and maintain strong relationships with clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical aspects of smart home installations and the practical challenges of project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Execution & Estimation:
  • Handle all aspects of project estimation, including preparing detailed cost assessments and timelines.
  • Execute smart home projects according to plan, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Track and manage project variations.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments, communicating changes promptly to clients and stakeholders.
• Hands-on Installation & Configuration:
  • Perform the installation, commissioning, and configuration of a wide range of smart home devices, including smart thermostats, lighting controls, security systems, audio/video setups, networking hardware, and home automation hubs.
  • Ensure proper wiring, connectivity, and integration of all systems, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site, working with senior team members both within the UAE and abroad as required, to ensure optimal functionality and performance of installed systems.
  • Manage installation teams to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
• Client Interaction & Management:
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and collaborate with senior team members to provide expert advice and offer tailored smart home solutions.
  • Conduct on-site consultations and provide demonstrations and training to ensure clients are comfortable using their new systems.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and addressing any issues or requests promptly.
• Continuous Learning & Development:
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in smart home technology, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Apply new knowledge to enhance the quality of installations and offer clients state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the team to streamline project delivery and enhance client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in electronics, networking, or home automation are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in smart home device installation and configuration, with strong knowledge of technologies such as KNX, DALI, Zigbee, Z-Wave, and Wi-Fi.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to ensure quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members; fluency in English is required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid UAE driver’s license is required.
